Step into your Pilates journey with the Matwork Diploma
At Align, we believe Pilates is more than just movement, it’s about feeling good, moving well, and building the confidence to share that with others.
In partnership with MKPilates we will be running the Matwork Diploma designed to blending the experts knowledge and hands-on experience you will need to help you master the art of teaching the Mat Pilates.You will explore everything from functional anatomy, client assessment and programme design, giving you the tools to support every body.
With a strong focus on the original 34 Pilates exercises (and all the thoughtful modifications that make them accessible), you’ll learn how to adapt your teaching to suit every ability and goal. -
Our approach is practical, encouraging, and rooted in the Align values of core strength, posture, flexibility, stamina, and control.
You will work closely with your tutor through a mix of one-to-one and small group sessions, receiving feedback, guidance, and encouragement every step of the way.
Assessment is varied and supportive, including practical teaching evaluations, a written workbook, and an anatomy and physiology multiple-choice exam, so you can feel confident in both your knowledge and your teaching styled. -

If you’re ready to take your Pilates training to the next level, our Reformer Diploma Stages 1 & 2 are the perfect progression.
Introduce you to our equipment-based training, and expand your ability to work with a wider range of clients. By mastering the Reformer, you’ll add a highly sought-after skill to your teaching toolkit, opening up new opportunities and helping you grow as a confident, versatile Pilates professional. The Matwork Intensive 1 gives you the skills, confidence, and knowledge to teach Mat Pilates. Learn the original 34 exercises, master safe adaptations, and build inspiring classes with expert support.
Reformer 2
If you have completed Reformer Stage 1, the next step is to progress onto Reformer Stage 2.
Building on your Reformer foundations, this stage develops a deeper understanding of programming, progressions, and client-specific adaptations. You’ll refine your teaching, work with more complex movement patterns, and gain the confidence to deliver dynamic, progressive sessions across a wider range of abilities—all while staying true to Align’s focus on control, precision, and progression.

Additional Apparatus
If you’ve completed Reformer Stage 1 and are ready to progress further, this course supports your transition into working with additional Pilates apparatus.
Building on your Reformer foundation, you’ll be introduced to equipment such as the Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels to enhance resistance, alignment, and control.
The focus is on expanding your skill set and confidence, enabling you to use a wider range of apparatus safely and effectively..
